JAMES ELLISON (1910-1993) – Signature on shadowy 8×10 black and white trio western portrait astride horse as “Johnny Nelson” with William Boyd and George Hayes from the Hopalong Cassidy westerns. Though he appeared in over 60 films during his two decade career, he is best remembered for his western films — first, in the Hopalong Cassidy series with William Boyd, as “Shamrock” Ellison in six films with another former Hopalong Cassidy sidekick, Russell “Lucky” Hayden and, lastly, as Johnny Mack Brown’s saddle pal in six westerns released in 1951 and 1952. Here died on DEcember 23, 1993 from a broken neck he suffered in a fall. This is an authentic, hand-signed autograph — not a facsimile, reprint or reproduction!!
