Videotapes and some other items in this catalog are "special ordered" from various manufacturers' and distributors' warehouses located throughout the United States especially for your order. This usually takes 2 to 3 weeks from the time your order is received, but could take longer, depending upon distance, holidays, etc. Movie posters, autographs, collectibles, magazines, photos, comics and radio programs are "stock" items and can ship right away. Most mail order companies and walk-in stores are limited by the selection they have on hand or carry a specific number of titles of movies. By special ordering from not only major manufacturers, but also from direct or independent labels with limited national distribution, Captain Bijou can offer you a much wider selection than any other source. All videotapes are of the best quality currently available for that title. Quality of the videotapes varies from tape to tape, regardless of manufacturer, age of movie or price. Imperfections in older, more obscure titles should be expected. It really depends on the condition of the elements used to make the final video product. All videotapes offered by Captain Bijou are, to the best of our knowledge, produced either by the copyright holder, manufacturer, by an authorized licensee or in the public domain. Captain Bijou also does not have any type of control or the type or design of the packaging of videotapes. All videocassettes and DVDs are available only in the VHS NTSC format. DVDs are generally encoded for Region 1 (U.S. and Canada).No BETA or PAL/SECAM cassettes. To the best of our knowledge, all have been recorded in standard play (SP), unless bearing the designation (EP) or (LP), which indicates the extended play (or long play) 4 or 6 hour mode.
